February 2013 Challenge

Description

Welcome to February 2013's challenge. One of the big ideas behind color schemes is to evoke a mood in a piece. This color scheme might be pretty familiar to people who live in a snowy climate, since I basically picked out the colors from a picture of sunset on my frozen over back yard. Most of these are pretty muted colors and together they can be very peaceful.

However, I also play a lot of video games, and artists often use these colors to signal a game player to RUN! SNOW ZOMBIES! Of course part of the way this color scheme is used to create a feeling of fear is because it's so peaceful that having things popping out of the snow and attack seems really out of place and creepy. But the colors are definitely used in different ways in a cold snowy death video game than they are in a gorgeous landscape shot.

Your challenge is to take these colors and choose how you're going to use them. Are you going to make something really serene that will calm your audience, or will you use them to create a sense of ominous dread?

- Please use all the colors
- You may make multiple pieces and submit them to our gallery, but choose only one to enter the voting
- White OR Black is allowed, but you may only use ONE of the two
- Optional challenge: Use white if you do an ominous piece, black if you go serene
- End date: Saturday, March 2nd 11:59 PM GMT

- Please submit to the featured section of the #Colour-Schemes gallery so everyone can see and so it's officially entered in the challenge! We will move the challenges to the appropriate folder ourselves. You can of course reply here with a link, too, because then we have happy confirmation.
- All other rules about #Colour-Schemes can be found here in the group's blog: [link]

Hello! I`m sorry, I`m new and I have a question: may I use the density of the brush? Or all colors must be clean?
